Hanging On

02/19/2013

Hopefully you haven’t forgotten about me or written me off.

Actually, I’m sure that several of you have not, based on all the e-mails, messages, and tweets asking about me and Granny and The Attorney.

I really appreciate the concern.

We’re all doing OK.

Along with the general issues of being 95, Granny has suffered through several weeks of shingles, but it seems to be behind us now.

I got so focused on her care that I pretty much let everything else go.

My blog, my twitter, my friends, my Attorney.

He has been understandably frustrated, but still very understanding.

Hopefully my allowing things to go fallow will only result in the fertility that it should.

On my blog, my twitter, my friends.

And especially my Attorney.

It may take me a bit to get everything up to speed again, but I’m ready to open the throttle.

Stick around for the ride!

Been thinking about dropping you a line. Sorry to hear about Gran’s bout with shingles. Nothing I’ve heard suggests there’s anything pleasant about that. She’s lucky to have such a dedicated guy in her corner. Carry on and give her some extra loving from all of us.

Good to hear all are doing as well as can be expected. I’m sure everyone’s patience has been tried on the home front. Hang in there, glad we all heard something out of you. I think many of us felt an old friend went missing for a while.

Shingles are EVIL! I hope to avoid them until I am old enough for the vaccine. I didn’t contract chickenpox until my teens, and it almost killed me. Don’t want to give the same virus another chance at that!
Best wishes to you and yours, and I’m looking forward to more blogging.

Your Granny is more important then your social outlets.
Thankfully she has a dedicated grandson looking out for her. You are the BEST Tony and she loves you more than you know.

It’s wonderful to hear from you and glad you’re ok.

Always the best to you and your loved ones. Peace and love XO

As a dedicated tweet-o-phobe, I’ve been checking several times daily in hopes of an e-mail that’d alert to a new blog post from you. So relieved to know that your Granny’s soldiering on – others have said the obvious, but I’ll repeat what bears repeat telling: both she and the Attorney are fortunate to have you in their lives. And I expect in due time the Attorney will be glad anew to have you in him…

It’s a good day for your followers!!

Phew! I am SOOOO GLAD to see this post! I am pleased that you have just been focusing on real life and Granny despite leaving us, your friends, the Attorney, etc. a bit lonely, questioning, and frustrated. I’m sure I speak for many others when I say ‘We miss you’. But also respect that you have your own stuff to do that does not include us. Cheers, Vancouver, Canada.

Being the caregiver is never easy and times like the past months are difficult. I am glad to hear things are better. (been checking in from time to time and praying that I would not see what I feared).

Even when it seems impossible, remember to care for the caregiver, too.

There are a lot of us out here who look forward not only to your :homilies” if you will but to the personal aspects of your life that you share with us. It’s one of those cases where, like us or not, you are part of our extended family and we do care for you.
